We just completed our first-ever Oklahoma Retreat! Thanks go out to Texas State Coordinator Mike Emerson and his great team for their dedication to serving more men with cancer; they have wrapped Oklahoma into their mission, and with full funding from the Lower Mountain Fork River Foundation, we hosted 15 courageous men at Beavers Bend in Broken Bow, OK. A little rain did not deter the exceptional experience for all involved; as one participant stated: “I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute I spent, from the time I entered the lodge to register until we said our goodbyes and departed for our homes, friends, and families. It was a wonderful 3 days and I cherish every minute.”OK1-13 Group

I enjoyed this retreat so much that I am now a volunteer at this retreat. I also give talks about this retreat to not only groups but to anyone that will listen! Next month there will be an article in a news paper that is distributed to a large population of the ARLATEX which includes southeast Oklahoma.
