My Husband, Tom really enjoyed taking part in the retreat as a cancer patient/survivor last year. He is an avid fisherman/hunter, and would love to help in future retreats as a leader, if possible. I also have a friend who lives in So. Cal. who has been diagnosed with a rare form of smooth muscle cancer (in between the organs of the abdomen), and his chances of making it to 2016 Christmas are slim. He has a bass boat, and he and his entire family (wife Carolyn and son Marc) love fishing both lakes and oceans, have their cabin in Bridgeport, CA for sale….just too much to handle right now. I am hoping to have you contact him “Perry”, in hopes that he will be able to enjoy a bit of fly fishing (don’t know if he has ever tried fly fishing, but open water he has done his entire life) before life gets too difficult for him to bear. He is still in possible surgery stage, though, he has chosen no chemo, radiation treatment, as this will make his quality of life unbearable. I lived in the cul-de-sac with Perry and his wife Carolyn for 12 years, dealing with a divorce on my own, but always seeing them, and their family and pets, always positive. I now live in NV with my husband Tom(who has participated in Reel Recovery last fall for the first time as a cancer survivor), but miss my old neighbors tremendously, and when I recently found out about Perry’s condition I was devastated. He is a humble, down to earth, God loving man, and I am afraid his time on this earth will not be much longer. Please consider sponsoring Perry for a once in a lifetime trip to one of your facilities. He and his wife were both/are still both such great friends and I hope that their remaining time together will be close, fruitful, and full of faith as they move forward with treatment (unknown at this time), and making his life as comfortable as possible. They are such great people, you will find this out for sure if they are able to take part in one of your retreats. Thank you for considering this, and blessings on you, all your employees, past and present. You have a great thing going here.
    Respectfully,

    Kris Muth-Lund (Tom Lund’s wife)
